Give your discarded glass new purpose!

Folks, here in Missouri, whenever the temperature begins to drop towards the zero point, that's when people begin to really, and I mean really, bundle up tight.  It's just plain cold out there right now!  And the same holds true for outbuildings and garages... if they don't have heat, they're unbearable to work in during the peak winter season.  That said, I'm afraid the flow of bottles is temporarily going to have to halt for a short period until things warm up a bit.  I hate to expend extra energy in the shop to keep it warm when all it does is offset the energy savings of "upcycling" the glass bottles in the first place.  My principles are too strong to trade glass for heat in a like-kind exchange!

However, I still have some inventory on the shelf, meaning there's still more to sell.  So we're not done yet, by any means!  Just don't expect anything too exciting for the next few weeks... or months... until this wretched temperature begins to rise once again.

In the meantime, keep in touch, and stay tuned for further updates!  :)

I think this is a very cool idea. I am guessing more bottle ideas will come along as time goes on as well.

Allow me to introduce myself... my name is Jared.  :)  I am the creator and author of this site, and the maker of its creative glassworks.

Why did I start this? Well, one day I woke up and simply decided it was time to start recycling.  Since then, it's carried me all the way to this newfound passion of chopping discarded glass bottles and turning them into decorative candle votives, flower vases, pendant lights, shelves, bells, and whatnots.  I do it because it's fun, it's expressive, and it's right for the environment, even if the impact is small.

That said, I welcome you to explore and enjoy this site as it develops!
