Give your discarded glass new purpose!

For our local folks, we've got specials running that you won't want to miss this week...  Head over to "Purchase Things" to see the offerings!

WOOOOOOT!!!

After the Holiday Miracle Market, we've been busy sorting and preparing our inventory for posting online to our Etsy store for sale, and we wound up burying ourselves in volume!  Having said that, we anticipated the beginnings of our items to appear online by tomorrow, but it looks like it might be the weekend still yet until they become available.  So, Black Friday Shoppers, don't  forget to save room in the budget for our upcycled bottles!  I know some of you are eager to see what we post to our online store... so hang in there... it's coming!
(Maybe we'll have some Cyber Monday specials in there for you all...)
:)

Well, we've successfully survived our first ever craft show, and the receptivity of the Joplin market has been a great one!  Hundreds of people stopped by our booth to admire and wonder at the many bottle creations we had on display.  Several of you (who are reading this blog post-show) were wondering about custom orders and whether you could bring us bottles just to contribute to the cause.  Even more of you were looking to do custom works with your own bottles from home.  All said... bring it on!

We're excited to hear that YOU are excited to see more, learn more, and explore this new art of "upcycling" that we're poising ourselves to brace for our own extended "holiday market" period from now until Christmas.  In that time frame, if it involves a bottle being upcycled into a new product or art piece, it will be entertained!  We have standard cut fees around $10 to $12 per bottle, tops or bottoms... and both halves for an additional $5 to $8 extra.  So, whether it's those glass treasures collecting dust on your shelf, or it's that first champagne bottle you drank on your wedding day... if you want it turned into a candle or a vase, or a bell, or a lamp... just click on the "Questions" link at the top of the page and get in touch with us today!

Meanwhile, here are some of the shots from our booth if you missed us at the CMN Holiday Miracle Market yesterday.  We had over 100 unique bottle creations at the show!  Also, we want to thank our friends and family whose contributions made this effort possible.  So, you know who you are... thank you so very much for your time, ideas, and assistance throughout this eco-friendly endeavor to keep glass out of a landfill and instead turn it into a wonderful accent for the home.  You rock!  :)

First Craft Fair!

Wooooooo, we're excited about our latest news!  We've been recently approved to partake as a vendor in the upcoming Holiday Miracle Market at Joplin's Memorial Hall this coming November 20th!  A portion of the proceeds go to Children's Miracle Network, so anything you purchase from us or other vendors will kick back donations automatically to CMN during the event.  And, it lasts from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., so take a few minutes that Saturday to drop in and see all of our new products at the show!

(I'm sure we'll post photos if you miss the event, but we'd love to see you there anyway.)

    Author

Allow me to introduce myself... my name is Jared.  :)  I am the creator and author of this site, and the maker of its creative glassworks.

Why did I start this? Well, one day I woke up and simply decided it was time to start recycling.  Since then, it's carried me all the way to this newfound passion of chopping discarded glass bottles and turning them into decorative candle votives, flower vases, pendant lights, shelves, bells, and whatnots.  I do it because it's fun, it's expressive, and it's right for the environment, even if the impact is small.

That said, I welcome you to explore and enjoy this site as it develops!
